This presentation will provide an overview of Chapter 18, Active Fire Protection Systems, of the 2021 edition of NFPA 921, Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations.

• Identify/Review the purpose, components and operation and installation parameters of fire alarm systems.
• Identify/Review the purpose, components and operation and installation parameters of water-based fire suppression systems.
