- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience investigating fires and explosions
- Certification: IAAI-CFI or NAFI-CFEI
- College: Fire Science Degree or equivalent Fire Service or Law Enforcement experience
- Experience investigating fire claims for insurance companies
- Demonstrates a knowledge of NFPA 921 & NFPA 1033
- Demonstrates a knowledge of Fire Science and Fire Behavior
- Demonstrates a knowledge of Fire Suppression & Fire Scene Incident Command
- Experience with litigation strategies
- Strong Communication skills: written, oral, presentation
- Experience in training/instruction of staff
- Demonstrate a strong focus on customer service.
- Computer skills in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote) and the utilization of the internet
- Strong abilities to foster teamwork, build relationships and partner with internal & external customers
- Strong court testimony skills
- Demonstrates a consistent high level of performance and achievement over career span
