Course Overview:
The Electrical Aspects of Fire Investigation course is a comprehensive program designed to equip fire investigators with the essential knowledge and skills needed to assess and evaluate electrical components and systems as potential fire causes. This training utilizes current best practices, standards, and methodologies to support accurate origin and cause determinations in incidents where electricity may have played a role.
Participants will develop a working knowledge of basic electricity, electrical circuits and systems, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and arc mapping techniques. Through instructor-led classroom instruction and hands-on practical exercises, attendees will learn how to identify and analyze electrical failures, recognize hazards, and apply their findings to real-world fire investigations.
