SIU Fire Consultant

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience investigating fires and explosions 
• Certification: IAAI-CFI or NAFI-CFEI 
• College: Fire Science Degree or equivalent Fire Service or Law Enforcement experience 
• Experience investigating fire claims for insurance companies
• Demonstrates a knowledge of NFPA 921 & NFPA 1033
• Demonstrates a knowledge of Fire Science and Fire Behavior
• Demonstrates a knowledge of Fire Suppression & Fire Scene Incident Command
• Experience with litigation strategies 
• Strong Communication skills: written, oral, presentation
• Experience in training/instruction of staff
• Demonstrate a strong focus on customer service.
• Computer skills in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Copilot) and the utilization of the internet
• Strong abilities to foster teamwork, build relationships and partner with internal & external customers
• Strong court testimony skills
• Demonstrates a consistent high level of performance and achievement over career span
