Elections

The 2025 Board Elections closed on Monday, April 7 at 12:00 noon EDT. 

The election results were announced during the IAAI Annual General Meeting held on April 7 In Atlantic City during the ITC.

Standard Annual IAAI Nominations and Elections Timeline:

April

• Annual election results are announced during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at ITC.
• Call for Nominations for next year elections from the floor of the AGM during ITC.

April – mid-July

• Nominations can be submitted (via the online form linked above). Nominations can be submitted at any time through July 15 of the year preceding the election year (i.e. by July 15, 2025 for 2026 elections).

July – October

• All nominations received are reviewed by the Nominating Committee.
• The Nominating Committee will send nominees a link to submit their information for elections:

  • Headshot

October

• All complete information is reviewed by the Nominating Committee and forwarded to the Elections Committee

January

• Information submitted by the candidates will be included in the winter issue of the Fire & Arson Investigator Journal and posted on the website under “Meet Your Candidates.”

February

• Current Active and Life members in good standing will receive an electronic ballot approximately 8 weeks prior to the AGM at ITC.

April

• Voting will be open through 12 noon on the day of the AGM at ITC.
• In the event of a tie vote between candidates for the same position, a ballot will be conducted during the Annual General Meeting and will contain the names of the tying candidates only.
• The results of the election shall be received and announced by the Chairman of the Election Committee at the AGM at ITC.
