Investigating Fuel Gas System Fires.
This class will cover the many way gas systems that supply appliances can cause fires and explosions. Topics to be discussed include ruptured buried gas lines, gas meter assembly fires, CSST related fires, LP tank issues, and open gas lines.

This course examines the importance of data collection and analysis. The class will engage in a review of data sources such as interviews, electronic devices, and fire patterns with a capstone consisting a homicide case study.

The goal of this class is to provide the student with a working knowledge of fireplaces and chimneys. The course will review the mechanical installation, construction sequence, components, and design from a forensic investigator’s viewpoint.
