NJIAAI Motor Vehicle Fire Investigation Course

The course fee is $450.00 for Members (IAAI or NJIAAI Chapter) and $550.00 for Non-Members.

The New Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (NJIAAI) constantly strives to serve our members with the best possible fire investigation training, information, and networking opportunities. This is a 3-day, NJIAAI Motor Vehicle Fire Investigation Course consisting of 24 hours tested instruction in determining origin and cause of motor vehicle fires. Included in this course will be a live demonstration of vehicle fire utilizing the team concept. Attendees will "dig" an investigation of a vehicle fire scenario and construct a report to present their findings to the class. Based on Chapter 26 of NFPA 921, topics will include: vehicle investigation safety, fuel packages, ignition sources, and vehicle systems and identification.
A class schedule will be provided the first day of class.

Prior to the start of the Basic Fire Investigation Course, each student must complete the following Fire and Explosion Investigation training from CFI Trainer.net:

CFI Trainer.net is free and will be referred to throughout the class. It can be found at
https://www.cfitrainer.net. You must register to be able to complete the assignments and will receive a transcript of the training completed. Once registered, the site allows you to proceed at your own pace, over a number of days as needed. During the first day of class the transcripts of your training completion will be collected.
