Stephens Engineering Consultants is seeking 1099 CFI or CFEI certified fire investigators in Georgia, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Traveling to loss sites to conduct cause and origin investigations in a timely manner with unbiased analysis.
• Travel up to a 100-mile radius for performing investigations.
• Ability to interact with clients.
• Confidentially handle sensitive information.
• Write and submit detailed and accurate reports on completed investigations.
• Communicate consistent timelines and project updates to clients.
• Provide expert testimony as needed.
Qualifications:
• Must be a Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (CFEI) through NAFI or a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) through the IAAI.
• Qualified candidates should also have a Private Investigator (P.I.) license in the state in which you are applying.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033
• Two to four years of hands-on experience working with either private or public sector origin and cause investigations with either commercial or residential structures.
• Ability to travel as needed and have a valid drivers license.
