Independent Fire & Explosion Investigators
 
We seek Fire Investigators to provide investigation, analysis, reports and testimony where technical and scientific answers are needed to help resolve both civil and criminal litigation, as well as insurance claims.
If you are retired, semi-retired, or have time available and would like periodic assignments as an independent contractor.
 
Requirements of the Qualified Candidate:
 
• Must be an IAAI-CFI or a NAFI, CFEI, CFVI rating or equivalent or must be eligible to become Certified.
• Licensed Private Investigator (If Necessary in your Domiciled State) in the state(s) you work in.
• Degree in Fire Science or Successful Completion of Nationally Recognized Fire Origin & Cause Training Classes or Schools.
• Must be familiar with NFPA 921and NFPA 1033.
• Minimum 10 plus year of years of work related experience to be qualified.
• Experience in local public and/or private sector performing origin and cause investigations on residential and commercial structures as well as motor vehicles and other types of fires.
• Be able to conduct investigations and clearly document your findings.
• Perform research and analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must; being able to explain technical subject matters to clients in simple terms is a plus.
• Prepare and write reports, presenting findings; maintain reports of investigation results.
• Experience testifying as a qualified expert in origin and cause in court cases involving fires.


 
Independent Forensic Electrical Engineers
 
We seek Electrical Engineers to provide investigation, analysis, reports and testimony where technical and scientific answers are needed to help resolve both civil and criminal litigation and insurance claims.

Requirements of the Qualified Candidate:
 
• Must be a licensed PE in the state residing in. Other state licenses are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics from an accredited university.
• Be able to investigate the Cause and Origin of electrical failures including electrical surges, lightning event damages or defects within industrial and residential sites and products that could suffer various types of electrical failure.
• Solid up to date knowledge of electrical codes & OSHA regulations pertaining to your industry. OSHA training courses are a plus.
• Must be familiar with NFPA 921and NFPA 1033.
• Minimum 10+ plus year of years of work related electrical experience to be qualified.
• Be able to conduct investigations and clearly document your findings.
• Perform research and analysis.

• Past Forensic Investigation/Engineering experience is a plus.

 Independent Forensic Mechanical Engineer

We seek Mechanical Engineers to provide investigation, analysis, reports and testimony where technical and scientific answers are needed to help resolve both civil and criminal litigation, as well as insurance claims.

If you are retired, semi-retired, have a flexible job that gives you ample availability and would like periodic assignments as an independent contractor.
 
Requirements of the Qualified Candidate:

• We are seeking all types of experienced mechanical engineers to assist our clients in their investigations. In particular, but not limited to, we are seeking those knowledgeable and experienced in product manufacturing, HVAC, fire protection systems, suppression systems, cranes, all types of commercial lift equipment, conveyor systems, elevators, escalator, and household appliances.
Requirements of the qualified candidate:
• Must be a licensed PE in the state residing in. Other state licenses are a plus.
