Keystone Experts and Engineers-Fire Investigator (subcontractor/part-time)

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Determine origin & cause of a fire on structure, vehicle & marine losses in accordance with NFPA 921 guidelines & Keystone procedures
• Photo-document fire scene
• Identify & interview witnesses or other key involved parties
• Secure physical evidence
• Prepare succinct summary of findings, conclusions & photo log with our proprietary Scope Inspection Sheet and work with the Managing Fire Investigator to review the final report
• Must be able to represent Keystone Experts & Engineers in a professional manner
• Minimum of CFEI certification and the ability to obtain a IAAI-CFI certification within the first year of hire. Active PI in their state of residence, if required.
• Able to perform fire investigations and consistently complete reports (verbal and written) according to Keystone’s guidelines for quality and timeliness.
• Willing to travel to loss locations throughout their state of residence and surrounding states.
• Possess thorough knowledge of NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033.
• Ability to work independently, with little direct supervision
• Well organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, with relevant higher education preferred.
• Must have the ability and readiness to learn new skills and techniques.
• Experience with Google Docs and other GSuite applications is a plus.
Location: Nationwide
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
