GHD-Certified Fire Investigator

Job Description:
  • Conduct systematic and thorough investigations into the origin and cause of fire and explosion incidents.
  • Document the scene, photograph, conduct interviews, identify other potential involved parties, identify and collect evidence, prepare written and oral reports.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other involved parties.
  • Prepare files for litigation. Qualify and provide expert testimony.
  • Willing and prepared for travel when necessary.Work successfully in collaboration with the Fire Forensics team and Managers.
  • Post-secondary degree and or extensive course work in Fire Science, Forensic Investigations, or related field.
  • 6-10 Years of fire and explosion investigation experience. A combination of public and private investigations preferred.
  • IAAI-CFI (Certified Fire Investigator) Required
  • NFPA 1033 Qualified and Compliant
  • Experienced testimony history
  • Working knowledge of National Building Fire Codes and Standards
  • Must hold or have the ability to obtain a private investigators license in the assigned state and surrounding states as requested.
