Qualification / certification in the handling and use of explosive products and experience in the investigation of post blast scenes is preferred. All three degree programs are accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC). The FPSET degree is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The primary responsibility for the candidate will be teaching undergraduate fire protection courses online and on campus to a diverse range of students. Excellence in, and a commitment to teaching are also required. A masters degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent international institution in a relevant discipline is required, doctorate preferred. The ideal candidate will have practical documented experience in one or more of the following: Forensic investigation of fire and/or explosion incidents involving explosive or gaseous fuels; Fire Protection Engineering or directly related fields; Chief level administration of a multifaceted Fire/ Emergency Services organization.
