The Department of Fire Protection & Paramedicine Sciences in the
Eastern Kentucky University, College of Justice & Safety, seeks to
hire a 9 month tenure-track position at the Assistant level.
This vacancy will have an emphasis in one or more of the following degree programs Fire Protection Administration, Fire and Explosion Investigations, or Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology (FPSET). All three degrees are accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), while the FPSET degree is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited degree. The primary responsibility for the candidate will be teaching undergraduate fire protection courses online and on campus to a diverse range of students. Excellence in, and a commitment to, teaching are essential. Active research, publication, certification / licensures, and public service are also required.
A master's degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent international institution in a relevant discipline is required; doctorate preferred.
