|
Your Officers, Directors, Staff and Committees continue to diligently work for the good of this Association. Since my last perspective, a lot of progress has been made in numerous areas.
The National Wildland Fire Coordinating Committee has approached the IAAI with the recommendation that a Wildland Certified Fire Investigator Program be established. The NWCG Fire Investigation Working Team had already developed two modules in that project. Many of the members of the NWCG Team are also members of the IAAI Wildland Fire Committee. After consultations, between the NWCG, IAAI Wildland Fire Committee and the IAAI Certified Fire Investigator Committee, I am informed that it will be recommended that the program concept be adopted and further development of the program will be undertaken.
